Winter tyres - why do studless tyres not skid?
Studdless tyres ensure a firm grip by ejecting the film of water between the road surface and the tyres that causes skidding on snowy or icy roads. Furthermore, the special compound rubber does not become hard, thereby maintaining the grip.
